What is HeyDutch?

HeyDutch helps people learn Dutch and integrate into life in the Netherlands. We offer live group courses online, self-paced lessons on our platform, themed flashcards, community events, trips, and webinars — all designed so you understand the language and start speaking in real situations.

We teach in small groups — usually 5 to 8 students. Lessons take place online via Zoom, typically once a week for about 2 hours, in the evening on weekdays or on weekend mornings.

After each live lesson, the recording is uploaded to your group on the platform so you can catch up if you miss a class. You also get homework, a Telegram group with your teacher, and access to interactive exercises on the HeyDutch platform.

Yes. On many courses you can try the first lesson and homework on the platform for free. Open the course page and look for the option to try the first lesson — it helps you see the teaching style and how the platform works before you sign up for a group.

Open the course page, choose an available group, and submit the registration form with your name, email, and phone number. If you do not have an account yet, you will be asked to create a password.

After you apply, our team will contact you about payment and next steps. When your place is confirmed and payment is received, you will be added to the group and see the course in your student dashboard.

Yes. When you successfully complete a course, you receive a digital certificate that you can use for your records or share on your CV or LinkedIn.

We offer Dutch courses from A1 through B2+, including group programs with a tutor and self-paced materials on the platform. Course pages show the level, schedule, and what is included in each program.

Enrollment & payments

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept common online payment methods including iDEAL, credit and debit cards, and PayPal. Some group courses also offer payment in installments — you can select that option during registration if it is available for your group.

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for eligible purchases. If you are not satisfied with the course, you can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided you have not completed more than 15% of the course content. See our refund policy for details.

For some courses, Ukrainians under temporary protection may be eligible for a subsidy. If a subsidy applies to a group, it is shown on the course page. Select the relevant option in the registration form if it applies to you.

You can join the waiting list for the next group or subscribe to notifications when new groups are published. On the course page, use “Notify me about new groups” and choose the course and preferred start date.

Group students get access to the HeyDutch learning platform with grammar, reading, listening, writing, pronunciation, and vocabulary exercises. Many programs also include bonus courses — for example, our song-based A1 and A2 courses — and themed flashcard sets for learning new words.
